Business immigration is a federal program offered to qualified business persons and entrepreneurs looking to start a business and settle in Canada. Applicants who are accepted can obtain a Permanent Residency (PR) for themselves as well as their immediate family.
You can immigrate to Canada as a business owner under the business immigration program. There are different streams a business person can apply through, such as the start-up visa, self-employed persons program, intra-company transferees, provincial entrepreneurs, and other work authorizations.
Titan Law has helped hundreds of newcomers immigrate to Canada. Our team is experienced in assisting individuals, families, and business owners in all types of immigration matters from study and work permits, guiding entrepreneurs through immigration plans, and appealing complex matters through the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. Our lawyers from different practise areas combine their knowledge and skills to provide creative solutions and practical results.
The minimum investment for business immigration varies, depending on the program and the scale of your business idea. With a start-up visa, venture capital funds are required to invest a minimum of $200,000 and angel investor groups must invest a minimum of $75,000. Business incubators are not required to invest a minimum capital amount.
You must have previous business or managerial experience, be able to communicate in English or French, have sufficient investment capital to start or purchase a business and have a business plan.
